What a wonderful friend Denis has been to me and my family throughout my life! He always had a moment for me in my youth and he always took the time to talk to me or ask what I was reading, for example. I think the time when my late brother John stayed with Denis and Dolores and Siobhan in Stockholm was indeed a very happy time for all concerned. As the years went Denis and Dolores too, of course, supported me in so many ways that I will never forget. When I was living in the US and returned to Australia from time to time they would come out to the airport early in the morning just so that we could have breakfast together before I flew on to another city. Denis and Bridget kindly allowed me to stay with them in 2014 and the three of us had a wonderful time. As it was my first time to London, Denis and I did the big red double-decker tour bus thing around London and had a day I still fondly refer to often. And his laugh! That marvellous laugh Denis had! You knew it was coming when he told the story of how one day on the golf course in Sydney he just couldn't find the ball he had just hit. Finally, he thought to look for it in the hole, and there it was. The laugh boomed! I know that my son Jaime, my wife Larissa, my sister Kathryn, and my brother Harold join me in saying how much we will miss Denis and how much love we send to Siobhan and Bridget. Love from all of us, Leo Joseph
